The completed and signed application and the requested documents must be received by The Resolution Center by the Application Deadline of April 17, 2026.
Diana Carmichael-Owens, JD was a dedicated dispute resolution professional particularly in working with youth in teaching them conflict resolution skills and utilizing Restorative Practices to address conflict and harm. She worked with hundreds of high school students and families over the years as The Resolution Center’s Youth Services Manager. Her life was tragically cut short in an accident, and the Diana Carmichael-Owens, JD Memorial Conflict Resolution Scholarship is dedicated to her memory and passion for providing student’s an opportunity to resolve conflict through dialogue!
Any high school senior that demonstrates collaborative dispute resolution skills, leadership skills or an overall ability to assist peers in conflict that plans to further their education after graduation are eligible. The Resolution Center will award up to 4 –$1,000 scholarships. Students must attend a school within The Resolution Center’s service area which include St. Clair, Macomb, Tuscola, Lapeer, Sanilac and Huron Counties to qualify.
